According to a recent Houzz survey on bathroom trends, 42% of homeowners are willing to splurge on an upgraded shower, and 27% are removing the bathtub all together to make room for the larger shower. Freestanding tubs and walk-in showers continue to be among the top two most requested features in baths.  Some amenities that are popular choices are rainfall showerheads (55%), dual shower heads (24%), curbless/barrier free showers (21%), and body sprays (18%).

A growing number of homeowners say they use mobile devices in their bathrooms at least once a week (64% in 2017 vs.58% in 2016). Also, the demand for high-tech bathroom features grew significantly year over year, with 29% of upgraded toilets and 12% of upgraded showers boasting these features (compared with 24% and 9%, respectively, in 2016).
